Dylan's Dojo

Hello everyone! It’s the october full moon, one of my favorite weeks of the year, and this one happens to be especially awesome do to the added energies of a partial lunar eclipse happening later tonight. The energy of the moon has got me feeling really great this week and i have decided to launch up some content both old and new to help expand out the horizons of my growing blog dylansdojo.com ever further.  This first video i feel, is really my best video yet, and i really love it because it covers subject matter that i find to be increasingly important in this period of energy shifting that we are currently experiencing. This really is the ultimate time in history to absorb the knowledge of the higher realms and to learn how to boost out your life potential by beginning to understand how to maximize your daily energy…

Your healing hands

alexgreyjesusalex-grey-body    The attached photo’s are artwork by Alex Grey. Several years ago, I was contemplating the need for a visual reference of  the human energy network and meridians, when I stumbled across Alex’s work, I was blown away! And to this day I still haven’t found a better example to use for visualizing in meditation, or teaching on the subject.  As seen in the Christ rendition, the hands are seemingly lit up at the center of the palms. In TCM these energy gates at the palms center, play a very important role in harnessing, cultivating, moving, storage, and projecting energy.  I cannot stress enough the importance of focusing your thought into your hands, and coordinating with the flow of the breath!  Which, brings me back to the title: YOUR healing hands! Yes, you do the healing, so give focused attention to these energy gates at the center of your palms. With moving practices like Tai Chi Chuan, the body and hands will flow with the tempo of the breath.

In preparation for all meditation/healing practice, I will start by sensitizing the energy gates at the hands. I do this by pressing my  index and middle finger into the center of my hand, taking a deep breath, centering and focusing my thought at the pressure point. One deep breath into each hand is usually enough to get the energy flowing and open up these gates for the proceeding energy work. We now hold our hands out in front of the body facing each other, as if we are gently holding a large balloon.  I practice all my routines with my eyes closed. OK, so now take a deeeeep breath, slowly pull your hands apart as you inhale and slowly push them together as you exhale; should feel as if we are squashing that balloon, or a slight push/pull sensation of the hands. Keep up this routine untill you can feel the polarity at work. If you feel the push/pull with the ebb n flow, you’re ready to Go!

Now that the hands are fired up ready to go, we can experiment a little by feeling the energies all around us, both animate and inanimate, by not touching, but rather, by holding our hands near the object with the palm facing the object we are attempting to connect with. For example, we could test the continuity between your hand and a tree, or family pet, crystals, a glass of water, anything really, just have some fun in practice and over time your hands should become sensitive to the energies around and within you. Remember, you need to open the gates by the compression technique I mentioned earlier, and we should always remember to close these gates upon completion! We do this with our minds by thinking about it, and as added support, you can wave a hand in front of the palm; as if you were cutting a cord attached to the palm. Also, breath deeply and slowly into you lower abdomen while practicing! Feeeeel the subtle energy, moving your hands closer to the object exhaling and moving further away from the object as you inhale.

Not a very complicated process now is it? The real difficulty, mostly, is in the hours of stretching, meditation, accumulating, and the occasional transmutation of  illness, disease, and pain. 😦 And is why Chi-Gung healers must spend years of meditation practice and prepare their mind/bodies to deal with possible difficulties. We will discuss more on the topic of transmutation, in later post and videos. Untill then, practice, practice, practice! Oh, one more thing! I wouldn’t practice with electrical components or in electrical storms!! The human body is a very good conductor of electricity, we are mostly water. I highly recommend multiple sessions with a Chi-Gung or Prana healer! Sometimes Chiropractic firms will have acupuncturist on staff with touchless healing experience. I like to hit pain and injury with a multitude of healing efforts:  Acupuncture; Chiropractic adjustments; massage; hydrotherapy, guided meditation, nutrition, health coaching, Yoga, physical training, and even an occasional blood test 😦 to check my ph balance.

Before proceeding to video, I wanted to layout a good foundation, making it easier to follow the videos, plus I really do not want to break it down everytime I’m waving my hands over someone in practice. We will further examine the human energy channels and their associating elixer fields’ (dan-tien), or Chakras, later. Untill then, Happy healing! Mirrors within mirrors, plans within plans, believe what we will, but God has two hands 😉 Happy healing! Jon Paul

Source meditation

thoth2  I call this meditation practice: Source Meditation, primarily, because it brings me closer to source, and in my case, was channeled directly from higher-self. I could just as easily have identified as; balance, polarizing, equalizing, harmonizing, realignment, or even the fountain of youth meditation, name of it what you will, just make it routine!

It wasn’t too long ago, revealing such a practice or “esoteric secret” would get you into some deep trouble! And that’s an understatement! Also, for blatant economic reasons, I won’t get into at this time; but most of us know that if  your business is to treat the sick, and nobody is sick, you’re not doing very much business.

In my present  life-cycle, knowledge of such secrets means power; to have one-over on the next guy was the way of our society, and still is, although,  at an unavoidable shrinking rate. One does not have to look very far to recognize the rapid exchange of information, and in so, understand that efforts to hide or oppress necessary teachings (without even taking consideration of universal mind, or universal connectivity) would be a futile effort indeed.

The Source Meditation is a non-denominational exercise,  not necessary to belong to a special group or have a particular religious belief. Once only known by the most distinct adepts, Source Meditation is now for every, mind/body/spirit complex  and even useful, if not more, by those that have no faith whatsoever (given the doubt typically experienced by those with limiting beliefs, and the eventuality of  awaking that will occur during continual practice).

I had many, many hours of Chi-Gung meditation & Yoga practice before I was blessed with this knowledge. With that said, the results or benefits will vary from individual to individual depending on the hours of practice and the ability to keep one’s consciousness, or concentration on the task without interruption. As the practitioner gains experience and awareness of his/hers energy centers, the more profound and recognizable the results will be. It is recommended to fully potentiate the meditation by practicing for two hours every day. Yes, yes, I know! Two hours a day, you ask. How the heck am I going to find two hours a day? After practicing Yoga/Chi-Gung and Source Meditation, you will be asking, what the heck am I going to do with all this extra time & energy! At least I have been! 😉 No worries, even if you are unfortunately one of those with limited time, it will be very beneficial to start by practicing now; even if only a few times a week. Let the healing begin!

Source Meditation: Try to find a place where you will be uninterrupted for the duration. I practice two hours prior to falling asleep in the evening, meditation in a quiet, peaceful setting works best. I lay on my bed, but laying directly on the earth can be a more powerful experience. It is helpful to get an understanding of the Chakra’s or energy centers. Google it 🙂 But for starters use the exercise below.

  • Find North & South poles of the earth: This is very important! This comes intuitively for myself, but others may have to use the setting of the Sun or a compass.
  • Lay flat on your back, head facing North pole and your feet facing the South pole (any other way may feel a little contorted) Get relaxed! Follow the baby breath mentioned in earlier post.
  • Once you are relaxed, close your eyes, breath slowly and deeply, centering our thoughts; allowing only for the thought of color & breath. During the first half of this meditation we will focus on keeping our consciousness from chest to top of head, or, heart to crown, and associate or imagine the corresponding color to that energy center (chakra) as follows: Green with chest; blue with throat; purple with third-eye; or between your eyes, and pink with the top of head or crown.  Some practitioners associate the third-eye with Indigo, and the Crown with Violet. Try not to concern yourself with this too much, the important thing is to hold your attention in the northern region of the vessel. And for myself, imaging the colors of each energy center helps me flow through the routine and with the most recognizable results.
  • Start at the heart, breath deep 7-10 second inhale (imagine green light flowing from and into chest) and then exhale for the same (still with the thought of green light) Once a full breath is complete, (aprox 20 secs) we move our thoughts or imagination to the next center at the throat, following the same procedure as the heart; and so forth, up to the crown. We repeat the crown twice and then move back down untill we once again return to the heart, and as the crown, is repeated twice. Each cycle takes approximately three minutes, so multiplied by 20 gets you to the hour we are after.
  • Once we have completed our Northern cycle, we will now rotate our bodies into the Southern cycle, by simply facing our head to the south and our feet to the north. We will now do the same routine as we did the last hour (or however much time you put into the north cycle, do the same for the south cycle) and do the exact same procedure, except with a couple very important changes, one being, we now are keeping our consciousness in the lower half of the body! And one more difference is the energy centers and their associating colors.
  • For the South cycle, we will once again start at the heart (green) and move down into the next energy center located between the belly button and the chest, this chakra or region we will use the color (yellow); with the next center at the belly button region (Orange), and finally at the root, or sex center at the base of spine (Red). Repeat the procedure used for the North cycle, but stay in the lower-half of the body. If you lose track a little, this is not a problem, just try to stay focused in the half of the body you are positioned for! And over time you will memorize the whole process, making it easier to meditate longer. This should get you started. I would be happy to answer any questions you have, of course untill I am overwhelmed 😉  Oh, another name I use for this meditation practice: “The Benjamin Button.” You will have to figure that one out on your own. Happy healing! Love and Peace, Author Jon Paul Gilbert
